Let your Verbenas rest for a few hours so that they air out after a whole day of use. If the shoe has gotten wet, it is advisable to put newspaper inside so that it absorbs all the moisture and thus prevents it from becoming deformed. Of course, let them dry away from direct rays of the sun or any other heat source.

If only one area has gotten wet, it is best to moisten the rest of the surface to unify the tone of the shoe when it dries. Brushing them daily is a great help so that the split hair does not become “uncombed.” It is recommended every day, always in the direction of the hair, with a brush specially designed for this use.

Split leather is a very porous material that accumulates dust and dirt, creating that “shiny” effect. We can find them in any shoe repair store and large stores; they usually have two parts, one with hard bristles and the other softer like rubber.

First we will pass the soft part of the bristles and if there are mud stains for example, the harder part of the bristles. Horror a grease stain! Don't worry, we also have a solution to kill your worst enemy. The ideal is to prevent it by applying special sprays from the first day that protect and waterproof our shoes from stains, water, etc.

If our advice comes too late, try rubbing the stain gently with an eraser or special erasers for split leather or suede, and even out the rest of the surface so that it is uniform. If you prefer, you can also apply a little talcum powder to the grease stain and let it absorb it. Then brush and that's it. And the final trick that never fails is as easy as rubbing them with a slightly damp cloth and then brushing them with a shoe brush wrapped in an old sock. Always complete the shoe to leave a uniform tone and brushing of the suede. We recommend that when you are not going to use your Verbenas for a long time, you store them in cotton cloth bags or simply wrapped in paper.
